A resident earning AED 4,000 per month, or AED 3,000 plus accommodation, can generally sponsor a spouse and children. Parent sponsorship requires a higher income, a refundable deposit per parent and medical insurance.

Attestation is where most families lose time:
- Attested marriage certificate for spouse sponsorship
- Attested birth certificates for children
- Ejari tenancy contract and DEWA bill
- Salary certificate or attested labour contract
- Medical insurance meeting DHA minimum cover
Timeline
Expect 5 to 12 working days per dependant once documents are complete. Start attestation in your home country at least a month before you plan to apply.
