Short answer
Renew your Emirates ID within 30 days of expiry. After that ICP charges AED 20 per day up to a maximum of AED 1,000. Renewal takes 3 to 7 working days and biometrics are only required if your data has changed or your card is over ten years old.
Documents required
Bring or send the following:
- Passport copy with valid residence page
- Existing Emirates ID card or number
- Recent photograph if biometrics are required
Step by step
The application is typed and submitted to ICP, biometrics are booked if needed, the card is printed and delivered by Emirates Post to your registered address. We track the delivery number for you.
